Frugal Friday at G.V. Hurley’s
Lately I’ve been writing about the state of the economy. We are not immune to cut backs in our household. We still like to dine out when we can so we’ve been looking for deals on the net and from deals from local restaurants. If you live anywhere near Sacramento, then you have to take [...]

It was a busy night considering it was Valentine’s Day, not to mention Lance Armstrong and [...]
Anatolian Table Revisited
This is a follow up to my post on ‘Anatolian Table‘. We had such a great experience the first time, we went back, this time with our family. We thank the owners for their generosity and great offerings at Anatolian Table. Watch the video and you know why it’s more than just an eating experience.
Pyramid Breweries
It was another night out on the town. This time we went to Pyramid Breweries off of 11th St. and “K” in downtown Sacramento. We just happen to wander in after mass at the Sacramento Cathedral Church. I hope it wasn’t a sin to go there after church cause we did have a nice time [...]

Parking was not a problem. The ambiance was nice. Mixed crowd of mid-towners and others. We were seated almost immediately.
We noticed [...]
Gonul’s J Street Cafe
Today we were in the mood for Turkish food so we went to the only known Turkish restaurant in town called, ‘Gonul’s J Street Cafe‘. It’s in Sacramento downtown right off the 99 freeway. When you get to ‘J’ Street you go through some medical offices and some Victorian looking homes before you get to [...]

Tonight we had fresh fish for dinner. Where else can you go to pick out your fish and have it deep fried for free. At the Seafood City Market off of Mack Rd. in Sacramento you can have this service done while you wait. Since it’s a grocery store you have to take you fish [...]
