Back to Reality

Wish I was writing about our fantastic vacation in Hawaii or something like that, but it’s not the case at least not this time around.  For the last two weeks I’ve been home watching the kids and trying to have a normal Holiday.  What it turned out to be was just another day except with good food repeated over and over.

Tomorrow I go back to work and Ebru will have to watch the kids.  I know it’s not going to be easy without a second pair of arms to take care of them, but what can I do?  Monday’s are usually bad in itself because the trash trucks come and make the dogs bark, which in turn stresses out Justice and Jasmine and eventually mommy.

I wish I was writing about how wonderful they are and how they are sleeping through the night, but that wouldn’t necessarily be true.  They are wonderful when they are not crying and when they are sleeping.  They are not so wonderful when they are scratching your arms, kicking your stomach, and screaming bloody murder.  This we could do without.

Seems role reversal has happened again.  It used to be Jasmine who was the quite one.  But now when she is in her mood or when she has gas, she can really scream up a storm.  It used to be Justice who could not sit for more than 5 minutes without screaming his head off.

One good thing that has happened in this last two weeks is that Justice can play with his toys a lot longer without being frustrated.  He actually enjoys his sitting toy now.  Thank God!  I guess they also cried a little less this week because I was home.

Me being home also helped to reinforce Ebru’s schedule.  First nap at 9AM then 2PM, etc.  At least we tried to reinforce the schedule in-between Holiday shopping and trips to Target, Nugget, and Panera Bread.

For some reason they seem to cry less when we are out and about then when we are at home playing with them.  I guess they enjoy people watching or maybe the vibration of the car and stroller makes them sleepy.  Haven’t figured that one out yet.

It’s 9:13PM and Justice has already woken up once.  That’s not a good sign.  Not sure why he got up so early this time.  I just put him down at about 8:30PM.  He was passed out when I put him in his crib.  He had a full belly and the temperature in his room was just right, at least to me it was.

Too bad he does not realize that I have to go back to work tomorrow and that I will have a lot of catching up to do and need some rest tonight.  When will they ever learn.  God help us!

Here’s a fun moment at tonight’s dinner.

Thanks Meleah! Sorry I haven’t been around. As you can see, they have taken most of my time. When I’m not posting here, then I’m on my iPhone trying to catch up lol.

Happy New Year to you and your family as well!!

They are so precious. Teething makes babies a little cranky as well and it definitely looks like they are teething.

Well at least they smile and giggle for the camera. :)

Thanks Debo. They are precious. Any complaint I have about them stems from my being tired, overworked, and underpaid lol.

Not sure how long it takes for their teeth to come out, but I’m sure it won’t be overnight. It’s never ending haha.

They are not camera shy right now :)
