Merry Christmas 2009!

From our family to yours, we wish you a Happy Holiday!  As for us, we have had a lot of happy moments in-between a lot of hard times.  It’s almost been 5 months now.  Yes, they surely have grown!  This month we have seen more development with Justice and Jasmine.

It seems this month they realized they have hands and feet.  They use it for everything from taking off their gloves to shoving it in their mouths.  It’s pretty funny, but only to a certain point.  It’s not so funny when they pull their slobbered hand and put it on your nice shirt or poke you in the eye lol.

They started watching Baby Einstein and it seems to entertain them.  Thank God for that!  I’ve been off this week so Ebru has gained back of her sanity.  As for me, I still have sleepless nights with Justice.  That hasn’t improved.  He seems to only sleep 2-3 hours, then gets up.  Not sure what it is, but it could be environmental, like the heater on too high.

Both have outbreaks of eczema once in a while, Justice more than Jasmine.  However, we got a scare last week when Jasmine broke out all over her body.  We nearly rushed her to the hospital again.  We decided to wait it out and just give her a cool bath.  That seemed to work.

They also seem to interact more with their toys.  They can grab the handles, turn things, and look into shiny objects.  They understand that what they do makes things move or make noise.

They are still teething, which isn’t fun.  They just cry randomly and hold their mouths.  We tried giving them some teething tablets and cold chew toys, but it doesn’t seem to work.

We have them on a new schedule and they have adjusted to, but right now with the Holidays, it hard to keep them on it.  With me being home it kinda throws things off.

On the brighter side of things, they seem to have a better understanding of us or at least look at us with more understanding.  When they are in a good mood and not hungry, then they pretty much laugh at anything you have to say.  They still enjoy going out and looking at people.  Jasmine on the other hand, does not like to be handled by strangers.  She throws a fit.  Justice is happy with just about anyone.
