Yesterday we just completed our move to a new server. It kind of took us by surprise because we were not sure if our site was going to be one of the handful to move over to the new server. We were. All I remember is getting an email from our web host saying, ‘Account move in progress’.

I’m like yikes! I didn’t even have a chance to do a backup. I should know this from my work in IT. You always do a backup! I won’t talk about my Dell laptop that recently crashed when I upgraded to Windows 7.

But going back to the server move, once I got confirmation that everything was moved over, I checked to see the site and nearly died because all the site directories where missing! All my posts on Nispiros Lessons and pictures of Justice and Jasmine, gone in a matter of hours.

Luckily I was home yesterday and was able to provide quick feedback to our web host. As you can see we are up now and everything is restored. Thank God!

In addition to the server move, we have also updated our site photo gallery. The Photo Gallery is dedicated to Justice and Jasmine and each album shows their development in the last 0-3 months and 3-6 months. Just hope we don’t eat up all our disk space or else we’ll have to move to another server LOL.

There is also a ‘Recently Added’ widget on the right hand side. The block will also show the most recently added pictures in the gallery. If you wait until the site full loads, then you will see a nice effect on the page. If you are going to view all the pictures in the gallery, the best and fastest way to do it is with Cooliris. Just install this free software and you will see all the pictures panned out panoramic style.

Also new to our site is the site theme. It is still in newspaper style and still very minimalist, just different. Hope you like it. That’s it for now! Oh yeah I also added a new CAPTCHA Code thingy for leaving a comment because I was getting a lot of spam. Sorry for the inconvenience, at least to you humans.
