6 Weeks and Counting

We can’t believe is only been 6 weeks.  As busy as we have been, you’d think time would be flying by right?  It’s not.  Friends say, “enjoy this time while you can”.   We say, “how can we, we’re freakin tired!”.

Here’s what we know about Justice and Jasmine today.

Let’s start with Justice:

• He wakes up at least 3 times a night
• He sleeps anywhere from 3-5 hours
• In the early morning, he’s fussy until he releases some gas
• He likes Mylicon, but not Gripe Water directly
• At 1′ish and about 6:30′ish he is very colicky
• When he cries, it’s all of a sudden with no warning
• He can not peacefully sit attended for more than 5 mins
• He likes the crib music toy
• He talks and kicks, but is not consistent

Jasmine:

• She doesn’t sleep as long and as deep as Justice
• She still co-sleeps with us after getting up for her nap in the crib
• She wakes up 3-5 times a night
• She is hardly fussy and can release gas easily
• She can take Mylicon or Gripe Water directly from the dropper
• Her cries are more like whimpers
• She can sit attended for at least 20 minutes without being fussy
• She is easily entertained and has a calm demeanor
• She talks frequently and is a very good and consistent kicker

In a perfect world, which is about 15 minutes in the morning, they are both angels.  They can be in the same crib, talk, laugh, play, and interact without any problems. Just seeing their happy faces makes all our sleepless nights all worth while.
