iPhone Bandwagon
Blog — By Rolando on March 2, 2009 3:36 pmI finally did it! I jumped on the iPhone bandwagon once and for all. For years I have been eyeing this little wonder, but never gave in. Best Buy recently had an offer I couldn’t refuse. I have been a Windows Mobile users (Windows CE) since they first came out with the device, but CE no more!
My last phone was the AT&T Tilt. While it was an improvement from the previous generations, it still doesn’t compare to the iPhone. I see the light! I am now an iPhone convert. I believe!
I’m still learning how to use it, but it won’t take long. The learning curve is very low. Anyone could pick up the iPhone and start using it immediately with practically no training at all.
You won’t believe how crystal clear the screen is, how fast the operating system is and how intuitive this little guy is. Just touch the screen and watch it go!
The iPhone applications are another real cool feature that will have your head turning. I can’t believe how cool these add on applications are. You can download them wirelessly through the phone or through iTunes. What’s even better is that a lot of them are free. I could surf their website all day downloading applications.
iTunes is already a proven application. I was able to transfer my existing iTunes library to my iPhone without a problem. Now I have my iTunes music and video all in one place. I won’t have to carry my iPod anymore. This sucker is more than a phone, it’s magic lol!
The Safari Browser and hand gesture zoom and paning is just too cool for words. You can see just about any site with it’s full functionality. If Adobe could get their flash player to work on these units, then it would be damn near perfect!
The camera is only 2.0 megapixels compared to my 3.0 megapixels on the AT&T Tilt, but someone it’s a lot clearer and taking a picture is more stable on the iPhone. The animation of the shutter makes you go ‘ooooohhh ahhhhhhh’.
I did not give up any features when I upgraded to the iPhone. I still can synchronize my Outlook Exchange data, store my passwords, view maps, play games and Twitter all in one.
I’m now an advocate for the iPhone. The nerd inside of me still lives!

My envy is with you….I had to settle for the iPhone’s supposed rival the Instinct by Sprint. I am very disappointed, the applications feature is basically non-existent but I luv the Navigation and text.
Oh well, I hope you enjoy your new phone…..I wish I had one:(

Hi Debo, I really didn’t want to spend the money on a new phone, but my previous kept on freezing and I missed important phone calls. Since 80% of my job entails me being on the phone and having meetings, I need something reliable. And yes I have been eyeing the iPhone for sometime too.
This Instinct looks like a cool phone. Our company uses AT&T. If they didn’t I’d probably use Sprint too.
Kuya Ro, congratulations!
I got my iPhone last October but I haven’t fully explored it yet. I’ve only been using it for YouTube videos and music. Maybe I would just wait for your posts regarding your iPhone adventures. I do love getting free tips from you… again.

This iphone is a whole new world for me. I thought I was organized with my last device, but this one is just more than a phone. The Apple Store on the device is a great place to check for applications. Most of the ones I’ve downloaded are free!
