State of the Economy
Blog — By Rolando on February 25, 2009 2:07 pmOn my way home last night I caught the last 20 minutes of President Obama’s speech on the radio. I was moved by his speech and delighted with the positive reactions from the attendees. It was a speech that was motivating and full of hope. I have never felt so proud to be an American.
Even though our economy is bleak, I see a light at the end of the tunnel. The tunnel of despair doesn’t seem so long anymore. There is plenty of work to do and Obama has a very ambitious plan. While the plan takes roots there will still be a gap in the current state of the economy.
There are still plenty of people without jobs and still plenty of people behind in their mortgage payments. For these people I pray that a solution comes quickly.
For the rest of Obama’s plans, I believe it will make a difference. I believe in pulling out of the wars responsibly, reviewing our medical infrastructure, and cutting out unnecessary programs across all industries.
It’s like Obama said, it’s not a Democratic issue, it’s not a Republican issue, it’s an American issue.
In case you missed the opening of Obama’s speech, here it is on Hulu.com.

The road is still bumpy yet, but I feel very confident in this president’s and cabinet’s competence.

@Debo Hobo
The road to success is never a straight line. I’ll be hugging on to those curves ahead with Obama, if it’s the last thing I do lol.
