33rd Street Bistro
Food — By Rolando on January 4, 2009 at 3:58 pmToday was a nice clear day to spend outdoors. We decided to take advantage of the sunny day by having brunch at 33rd Street Bistro. It was our first visit to this neighborhood restaurant. Parking was not a problem. The ambiance was nice. Mixed crowd of mid-towners and others. We were seated almost immediately.
We noticed that they have covered outdoor seating and a young staff ready to serve you. We liked the friendly service and easy menu. We started with a fresh fruit plate, which was very good. It came with orange creme and mascarpone on the side. Then we had our main brunch entrees. Everything was very tasty. Surprisingly, even the coffee was just right. Normally the places I go to make their coffee like tea.
I had the Smoked Turkey And Sonoma Jack Cheese Omelette. I was hoping the side of potatoes had more umph! That’s ok the omelette more than made up for it. It came with a choice of wheat bread or sliced sour dough. Get the sliced sour dough.
We’ll be back for the lunch menu.

Ohhhhh yeahh … sounds really good Rolando. Funny how something as simple as bad coffee can mess up a breakfast. I REALLY hate watery coffee. It’s like they are trying to save money by serving brown water.
The omlett ???? Just my style. Please review a restuarant in Hollydale next

I’m serious lol bad coffee should be banned. It should be rated from restaurant to restaurant. Any establishment that sells coffee with a grade A- or below should not be allowed to stay in business. j/k
How’s Kenny Loggins Chicken doing in Hollydale?
i love food. if this resto is located near my place, i’d go and check.
happy new year!

We were out catching our free Denny’s meal today
I work close to Bistro 33 (same owner). I enjoy their food, but feel they are a bit over priced.

Thanks for your post Sacramento News! I was tempted to go to Denny’s, but then I heard the wait was way too long. I would have walked over to Bistro for a more relaxing atmosphere. The prices didn’t bother me so much. I guess I expect to pay more when eating out.
@Rolando
I should add that the price is a bit high for breakfast, not really for lunch or dinner in the midtown area. I am normally just an English Muffin type of guy.

@Sacramento News
I see. Well, we have yet to try out their lunch or dinner menus. From what we remembered, it looked pretty good! Nothing wrong with just English Muffins lol.
